The last build in on the Wrath of the Lich King beta servers added the Cooking Daily quests and a BUNCH of really cool recipes.

To get the “cool recipes” you do daily quests. But they are a little different than in The Burning Crusade. Evidently Blizzard liked the way that the badge system worked so they added it to the professions. When you do a daily cooking quest, you’ll get a cooking badge. They are actually awards that look like ribbons. Each of the recipes costs 3 of these ribbons. You can buy them from the bartender at The Legerdemain Lounge in the center of Dalaran.
